When we go to the polls we are deciding what kind of future we want to live in. Politics is about priorities. We live in the fifth richest country in the world, and yet we can't even fill in our potholes.
It is about sharing out the wealth in a fair and just way. There are lots of jobs that need doing to make life safe, secure, comfortable and worth living, but most of these don't make a profit. This is why we need public services.
We need to protect the environment, raise animal welfare standards, improve education and opportunities for young people and provide a strong health service. Instead, Devon County Council has closed day care centres, old peoples homes, youth centres, cut bus services and given our libraries away. We need to stand up and be counted before it is too late.
